ArkStream Capital Research
Investment Thesis
ArkStream Capital describes itself as a private investment fund focused on digital assets and emerging financial markets. Its strategy spans primary market investments (venture-style rounds in crypto protocols and infrastructure) and systematic secondary market research. The homepage tagline is "Accelerate the Decentralization on ARK". The firm publishes frequent research on its blog: verifiable computation and ZK, fully homomorphic encryption (FHE), application chains, restaking, PayFi and stablecoins, AI agents in Web3, and macro and liquidity views on crypto cycles. Its essays on why it invested in Ethena, Caldera, Space and Time, Avail and dappOS show a pattern of backing infrastructure and yield or payments primitives, with a stated view that crypto VC is hard to run in a way that beats BTC.
Stage Focus
The disclosed deals sit at pre-seed, seed and Series A. Examples: zkMe pre-seed (May 2023, $2M round), Linera seed (2022), Caldera Series A (July 2024, $15M round), IO.Net Series A (March 2024), and Cancore seed (October 2026, $7.2M round). It also made large follow-on investments in a liquid-token context, for instance Ethena (an initial $5M in December 2024 and a further $10M in August 2025, per the firm's X account). A recent blog post (April 2026) on retail access to pre-IPO shows interest in late-stage private markets, and partner Tsz Chung Chung has led eight-figure pre-IPO secondary transactions including SpaceX.
Check Size
No check size range is published. The only disclosed amounts are the Ethena investments ($5M initial, $10M follow-on). Most early-stage rounds are shared with other funds, so the typical check is likely well below those figures, but that is not confirmed.
Lead Tendency
Unclear. Most public announcements list ArkStream among several investors (Cancore alongside Paper Ventures, Caldera alongside Dragonfly, Sequoia, Lattice and Founders Fund, zkMe alongside Circle Ventures and Fenbushi). A few portfolio announcements name it among co-leads. Marked unknown.
Recent Activity
- October 2026: participated in Cancore's $7.2M seed round (trading platform on Canton), alongside Paper Ventures.
- August 2026: PitchBook lists NeoSoul as the latest investment (20 Aug 2026).
- August 2025: a further $10M investment in Ethena.
- Research output continues: a Q1 2026 crypto market review (30 April 2026) and the pre-IPO access piece (28 April 2026).
Tracxn counted 32 portfolio companies as of March 2026, while the firm's own site says it has invested in 100+ projects, so many investments are not on any public list. The fund appears to be actively deploying.

Decision Process
Not disclosed. A three-partner structure suggests a partnership model, but there is no published process.
Founder Preferences
Not stated directly. The portfolio and essays favor technical protocol teams with institutional traction, and the firm runs community events (Token2049 side events, Hong Kong dinners, demo days, Harvard and MIT crypto club sessions) to build founder and LP relationships.
Geographic Focus
Global, with a strong Asia base. Events are concentrated in Hong Kong and Singapore, with US university outreach. Crunchbase lists Singapore; the partners are linked to Hong Kong. Headquarters is unconfirmed.
Gaps and Caveats
A second domain, arkstreamcapital.com, appears in search results with a description about AI, semiconductors, robotics and aerospace investing. It would not load, so it is not verified whether it is the same firm repositioning. Stage attribution per company was not stated on the portfolio page, so no stage is attached to portfolio entries.
