EquityPitcher Ventures Research
Investment Thesis
EquityPitcher Ventures is a network-driven, early-growth venture capital firm based in Zurich, Switzerland. Founded in 2016 by Sascha Horrig and Hermann Koch, the firm began life as a digital platform connecting professional investors directly with startups, then pivoted in 2017-2018 into a classic venture capital fund structure. The core thesis has stayed constant since: the firm's "unfair advantage" is a broad industry network of 150+ industry experts, corporate C-levels, and entrepreneurial investors that it mobilizes to generate real sales introductions and customer pipeline for its B2B portfolio companies, not just capital.
Sector Focus
EquityPitcher is explicitly industry-agnostic within B2B technology, with one hard exclusion: pharmaceutical and biotechnology are outside investment focus. In practice the portfolio spans industrial AI and robotics (waste-to-energy computer vision, greenhouse harvesting robots, industrial inspection robots, survey drones), fintech (autonomous accounting, ESG data automation), digital health (medication management, dental practice software), IoT/insurtech (water-leak sensing for insurers), manufacturing tech (automated quality control, advanced printing), construction tech, edtech, gaming, and cybersecurity (behavioral email security). The common thread is technical differentiation plus a clear enterprise/B2B sales motion the firm's network can accelerate.
Stage Focus
The firm invests from Seed through to exit, with the highest concentration at Seed and Series A. Per third-party deal trackers, EquityPitcher has made roughly 11 Seed-stage investments (average round size ~$3-5M) and 15 Series A investments (average round size ~$7M) historically, though it also participates in later growth rounds as a follow-on investor in its existing portfolio.
Check Size
EquityPitcher does not publicly disclose a fixed ticket size band. Observed round sizes it has led or co-led range from roughly CHF/EUR 3-6M at Seed (Infinity $3M, Voltiris CHF4.8M, Jaipur Robotics EUR4.3M, Enzo EUR6.2M, hellomed EUR6M) up to Series A rounds in the EUR5-15M range (e.g., xorlab's EUR5M Series A+). These are total round sizes rather than confirmed individual EquityPitcher check sizes.
Lead Tendency
EquityPitcher leads or co-leads a meaningful share of its deals — it led Jaipur Robotics' Seed alongside High-Tech Gründerfonds, led Infinity's $3M seed ahead of Tenity and Backbone Ventures, led Voltiris's CHF4.8M seed alongside 3M Ventures, and led both Enzo's and hellomed's most recent rounds — while also participating as a syndicate member in rounds such as xorlab's Series A and Eternal.ag's latest equity round. Overall lead tendency is best characterized as "both."
Recent Activity
2026 has been an active year: the firm co-led Jaipur Robotics' EUR4.3M Seed round (September 2026) and participated in xorlab's EUR5M Series A+ (September 2026), led hellomed's EUR6M round (February 2026), and participated in Eternal.ag's EUR8M round (March 2026). In late 2025 it led Enzo/SafeHome's EUR6.2M Seed (October 2025). The firm describes itself as "actively deploying," planning at least seven new investments in 2026 to bring its cumulative total past 45 investments.
Portfolio Highlights
The portfolio includes ETH Zurich spin-outs ANYbotics (industrial inspection robots) and Scrona (electrostatic printing), plus Wingtra (survey drones), AirConsole (cloud gaming platform partnered with BMW and Volkswagen for in-car entertainment), Beelinguapp (language-learning app), abaut (construction operations AI), Briink (ESG data automation, founded at Merantix's AI Campus), Roger (dental practice management SaaS), Eleven Dynamics (automated manufacturing QC), and newer additions Jaipur Robotics, Infinity, Eternal.ag, hellomed, Enzo, Voltiris, and xorlab. Per the firm's own 10-year retrospective, of the 31 active portfolio companies it held at the end of 2025, 27 already generate multi-million-CHF revenue and two have reached nine-figure revenue; it has realized 5 exits and only 3 write-offs to date, with no down rounds.

Founder testimonials consistently emphasize EquityPitcher's role in making warm customer and hiring introductions, not just writing checks.
