Maynger Ventures Research
Overview
Maynger is a Singapore-linked platform with three pillars: Maynger Ventures (early-stage founder support and pre-seed capital), Maynger Future Hoods (community Tech Labs and a Mobile Makerlab in emerging-country neighborhoods) and the Maynger Think Tank (startup-ecosystem and strategic-foresight thought leadership). Its stated ethos is "restorative entrepreneurship": backing overlooked founders, policy-makers and communities across the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan (MENAP) with capital, expertise, technology and connections, rather than extractive models. Location (Singapore) comes from a third-party investor directory snippet; the firm's own site does not state a headquarters.
Investment Thesis
Maynger Ventures supports sector-agnostic, early-stage startups that bring impact across the Levant, including Syria, Jordan and Lebanon (a third-party directory also lists Iraq). It pairs experts from the APAC region with founders building technology solutions to real problems at the pre-seed stage. The homepage currently announces "angel investment for Levant-origin startups" as now live. An Instagram bio states the Maynger Impact Microfund was due to go live in March 2026. The site frames the model as capital plus mentorship, expertise and practical tools, aimed at ventures that last beyond the early stages.
Stage Focus
The site sorts founders into START (early-stage teams), SPRINT (maturing startups) and SCALE (finding product-market fit). Capital is offered as pre-seed funding to accelerate product development and market adoption. The firm describes its investing as pre-seed.
Check Size
The firm does not publish a check size or fund size. The one disclosed round it is tied to is a US$165K pre-seed (Alo Hakeem), led by EBLA Ventures, so Maynger's own ticket is smaller than that and not stated. No check-size range is submitted.
Lead Tendency
No evidence of leading. In the only disclosed deal, EBLA Ventures led and Maynger participated. Lead tendency is recorded as follows and not leads.
Programs and Founder Support
- Maynger Mentorship Program: 4-month virtual program with milestones including a refined Business Model Canvas, with mentors from Asia-Pacific and emerging-market ecosystems.
- Experts-in-Residence Program: office hours and tailored sessions in Finance and Accounting, Fundraising and Investor Relations, and Marketing and Growth, plus access to experts in areas such as Data Science and AI.

- FoundersCompass Test and a pitch-deck submission form for applicants.
Recent Activity
In October 2026 Maynger announced it backed Alo Hakeem's US$165K pre-seed round. Alo Hakeem is a Syrian digital home-healthcare platform founded in Aleppo in 2025, operating in Aleppo, Damascus and Hama. EBLA Ventures led, and press coverage names Maynger's ChangeMakers mentorship as part of the founders' path. Maynger's own social posts say it is proud to back the round. Press does not list Maynger by name among the investors, so the exact size of its participation is unverified. Alo Hakeem's founders also publish a testimonial on Maynger's Founder Stories page about the mentorship program.
Portfolio Highlights
Maynger has no portfolio page. The only disclosed investment is Alo Hakeem (digital healthcare, Syria). The portfolio list contains that one company, and its domain is left null because it was not verified.

Decision Process
Not disclosed. Applicants submit a pitch deck through a form; decisions appear to sit with the small core team plus advisers. Contact is [email protected].
Founder Preferences
Overlooked and underestimated founders in conflict-affected and post-conflict markets, especially Syria, Jordan and Lebanon, with real problems to solve and an appetite for mentorship. Stated principles include championing the underdogs, honest collaboration, integrity and recognizing talent from unexpected places.
Geographic Focus
Levant (Syria, Jordan, Lebanon; Iraq per a third-party listing) with a broader MENAP ethos, and Pakistan referenced in program messaging. Advisers and operators are largely APAC-based, giving it a Singapore-to-Levant bridge.
Gaps
Fund size, check size, AUM, fund close date and Maynger's exact stake in Alo Hakeem are not public. The firm appears to be a very new micro-fund launched in 2026, with one disclosed investment.
