Seaya Research
Investment Thesis
Seaya is a Madrid-based venture capital and growth equity firm (Seaya Capital Gestión SGEIC) that backs "exceptional founders building leading tech companies that have a sustainable approach." It argues that companies with a long-term mission deliver better financial returns, attract stronger talent and are more resilient. It looks for impact-driven, long-term founders who scale responsibly, solve real problems and redefine industries. The firm runs two funds with different mandates, Seaya Ventures and Seaya Andromeda.
Funds
- Seaya Ventures (Seaya Ventures III FCR, FCRE): a technology-first fund for mission-driven European founders. Stages: pre-Series A, Series A and Series B. Initial ticket EUR 2-7 million. Fund size EUR 165 million. Focus on disruptive technology across Europe.
- Seaya Andromeda (Sustainable Tech Fund I, FCR): a EUR 300 million Article 9 climate and sustainable-tech growth fund, closed July 2024. It targets companies with EUR 15-100m+ in size, over 30% growth, and positive or breakeven EBITDA. Tickets run EUR 10-40 million, with majority or minority stakes. Its five themes are energy transition, digitalization of resources, decarbonization, the food value chain and circular economy.
Stage Focus and Check Size
Ventures writes early growth checks of EUR 2-7 million at pre-Series A through Series B. Andromeda writes EUR 10-40 million growth equity checks into profitable, scaling companies. Taken together the firm spans roughly EUR 2-40 million. This is not a pre-seed or seed shop.
Lead Tendency
Recent announcements show Seaya leading: it led Trustfull's EUR 6M round (with Elevator Ventures), eSave's EUR 3.2M round, Dotfile's EUR 6M round and Samara's EUR 4.5M seed. It also took majority stakes in Baïa Food, NAX Solutions and Zyclora / Bike Ocasion through Andromeda, and co-led Quatt's EUR 25M round with Blue Earth Capital. It also joins rounds led by others, such as NX Technologies' Series B led by PayPal Ventures.

Geographic Focus
Europe, with strong Iberian roots (Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, UK, Italy) and LatAm exposure through companies such as Cabify, Coru and Fracttal. Headquartered at C/ Alcalá 54, Madrid.
Gaps
Combined firm AUM is not stated on the site, so it is left empty. Per-company stage and investment dates are not listed on the portfolio page, so none are claimed. Portfolio domains are mostly left null to avoid wrong guesses.
