F4 Raise in ChatGPT and Claude

F4 Raise ranks venture capital firms for a startup. In ChatGPT or Claude, describe your company in a sentence or two and ask which investors to pitch. You don't need an F4 account.

What it does

Find VC firms. It returns up to 20 firms in rank order. Each firm links to its F4 page and lists up to three public companies it backed that resemble yours. When none can be named, it shows the firm's stated focus instead.

The ranking reads two things: the public companies each firm has backed, and each firm's stated focus. It does not show whether a firm is investing right now.

You can add any of these, and the answer says what each one changed:

Website. F4 checks it against its public company records, so your own investors don't top your list. F4 may also read your home page to understand the company better.
Stage. Firms that invest two or more stages away are removed.
Round size. Firms whose smallest cheque is more than twice the round are removed.
Location. Firms whose stated region excludes it are listed last.

Describe one firm. Ask about any firm in the list, or any firm by name, and it returns that firm's public F4 profile.

The longer report. Each search ends with a link to a free, longer report built from your pitch deck, ranking about 100 firms. The link opens F4's application form with your description already filled in. Nothing is sent to F4 until you submit the form yourself.

Email me the link. Under a search answer, ChatGPT and Claude can show a card with an email field. Type your address and press the button, and F4 emails you one link to your free report form, with your description filled in. You can also ask the assistant to email you the link. F4 may also email you about your raise. Every email has a stop link: press it, and F4 will not email that address from the plugin again.

What it doesn't do. It doesn't contact firms or share contact details. It can't read the rest of your chat, and it never asks you to sign in.

How to add it

Claude. Add F4 Raise from the Claude connectors directory, or add a custom connector with this URL:

ChatGPT. Search for F4 Raise in the ChatGPT apps directory.

What F4 stores

For every request, F4 stores:

the tool used and its outcome;
which assistant sent it;
your description, and the website domain, stage and round size if you gave them;
the firms returned.

F4 also stores what the assistant sends about the request:

From ChatGPT: an anonymous user identifier, stored only as a keyed hash, plus a conversation identifier, an organization identifier, an approximate city, region and country, a time zone, and a language setting.
From Claude: the name of the client app.
From both: the client's user agent.

F4 never stores a precise location (latitude or longitude) or your name. The assistant doesn't send F4 your email address. F4 stores an address only if you type it into the card, or ask the assistant to email you the link. If F4 follows up, the address and your description also become part of F4's founder review records, which F4 keeps like other applications. A location you state is used to order the list and is not stored. Text read from your website is used for the ranking and is not stored.

If you open the report link, F4 records that it was opened. If you then apply, F4 links your application to the search that sent you.

Who else processes it

OpenAI turns your description, and any text read from your website, into an embedding. An embedding is a list of numbers used to compare companies.
Jina fetches your home page when F4 reads your website.
Resend sends the email, from a separate sending domain used only by the plugin.
Render hosts F4's servers and database.

F4 also records usage data about each request in its analytics, which can include the search details.

How long F4 keeps it

F4 keeps these records for 13 months. After that, it deletes your description, the inputs, your email address and the fields the assistant sent from them. F4 keeps a do-not-email list of keyed hashes, not addresses, past that date, so a stop request is still honored.

Delete your records

Email [email protected] with the report link from your chat, the email address you gave the card, or the email address you applied with. F4 will delete the plugin searches, links and addresses tied to it from its plugin records and those founder review records, and add the address to its do-not-email list.
