Some of those discoveries focused on the usual suspects while we were tracking critical players in memory regulation. In this year of shaping the company's direction, our founder talked to 100+ researchers, founders, drug developers, and investors. And, after working on the drug development plan for a target for Alzheimer's disease, she saw the main bottleneck in drug development for neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS and Alzheimer's disease. We still don't know which readouts to use to demonstrate an effect on pathology. The pathology of neurodegenerative diseases is immensely complex! Specifically for Alzheimer's disease, more than 140 drugs are being tested right now. How to choose which one will make it? For early-stage investing, it is very relevant.
