Candela is the SI unit of luminous intensity
Candela is the SI unit of luminous intensity. Light from a single source, in a single direction, which is measurable. We took the name because that's the way of learning we want for students aged 16 to 22. Students spend a decade doing problem sets and exams, then graduate into a job market that doesn't care what they scored, but only what value they can provide. AI has collapsed the value of knowing things and inflated the value of applying them, and no part of the formal education system has restructured around that shift. Students feel unprepared, parents see their kids struggle to get even internships, employers read hundreds of similar looking graduate CVs and sigh. Candela inverts the unit of learning from topic to outcome. The system reverse-engineers the learning path backwards from what you want to learn, generating the concepts, sub-problems and micro-builds live as you hit each wall. You truly only learn by doing and we take that philosophy seriously here. Currently running v1 in London through the First Ascent (https://aryankhedkar.com/first-ascent.html) network.
