Ahead gives small businesses a part-time Chief AI Officer: a real AI expert (not another tool, course, or agency) who meets with them weekly to help them put AI to work and stay ahead. Goldman Sachs surveyed more than 1,000 small business owners this year. 76% are using AI, only 14% have it built into how the business runs, and 73% say they'd benefit from more training and help implementing it. All of this means that the tools got to these businesses, and nobody ever showed up to help set them up. You see, AI was supposed to reduce work. Instead it added more. Business owners already do every job nobody has been hired for yet. Sales, the books, the hiring, the website, and so much more. Now somebody also has to tell the AI what the business is, check what it produces, and notice when it stops doing what it did last month. In a big company that is a team. At a small business, that's the owner, on top of everything else. AI is learnable, but you can't just learn it from a YouTube video, a generic course, or even AI itself. You learn it by doing it, next to someone who has done it before and can tell you why your version is going to break, or how to set it up right from the start. This is why we set out to create Ahead. Ahead pairs business owners with people who build with AI for a living, for weekly hour-long sessions on whatever they're working on, in their own tools. That gives the owner someone who has already solved the thing they're stuck on, and gives the expert a way to earn from what they know. So the short version of why we exist: we want to close the gap between what AI can do and what you can actually rely on.
