Mayfly Defense builds autonomous systems that clear explosive ordnance and landmines. Our drones locate and classify landmines and unexploded ordnance from the air, map every item they find, and render them safe. Detection, decision, and disposal in one system, operated by one team, with nobody walking the ground first. The problem is not receding. Contamination is being created faster than the world can clear it, and the method has not fundamentally changed in fifty years. A person, a detector, and a slow walk forward. That method costs lives, and it costs decades. We think the machine should take the risk.
