New Age Meats (later rebranded New Age Eats) was a food-tech startup developing hybrid cultivated and plant-based pork products, including sausages, bacon, and pork belly. It grew animal cells in bioreactors and combined cultivated muscle and fat with plant proteins to create meat alternatives focused on familiar taste and texture with reduced environmental impact and animal slaughter. The company ceased operations in March 2023 after failing to secure additional funding.
