The Strava for home cooks — a community-driven cooking app that solves the execution problem (not the inspiration problem). Combines AI-powered personalization with social features and creator-led growth to make cooking more connected and personal. The current cooking app ecosystem solves for inspiration (recipes), but there is no inspiration problem — there are millions of recipes everywhere. The real problem is execution: people don't act on the recipes they save. The key to solving execution is community and accountability, not more content. No existing cooking app has built a strong community of global cooks. By building the Strava for cooking, Palette taps into the human desire to share, brag, and connect around a passion. Ming led GTM strategy across high-growth tech companies and scaled an influencer marketing agency in food & bev CPG to $200K revenue, building deep relationships with brands like Lee Kum Kee. Co-founder Jaime is a major cooking creator with 2.5M+ followers and a MasterChef contestant, giving Palette immediate creator-led distribution and credibility in the cooking space. The team has the brand relationships, the creator network, and the product-building capability. Three things align. First, cooking has become increasingly isolating in the social-native era — the shift from learning from family to scrolling feeds has left home cooks without connection or accountability. Second, AI makes personalization at scale possible, letting Palette tailor recommendations to individual taste profiles. Third, in the AI era, human community and connection become a defensible moat — the more AI-generated content floods the market, the more valuable a real, curated community of passionate cooks becomes.
