Skyfall Defence is a European deep-tech initiative focused on protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive environments from emerging drone threats in the low-altitude airspace. The rapid proliferation of small and mid-size unmanned aerial systems is fundamentally changing the security landscape. Drones are becoming cheaper, more autonomous and widely available, while existing protection mechanisms for civil infrastructure remain fragmented, expensive or difficult to deploy in urban environments. We believe that securing the lower airspace will become a key component of modern security architecture — similar to how cybersecurity evolved into a critical infrastructure layer over the past two decades. Our focus lies on developing scalable and deployable counter-UAS technologies designed for real-world environments such as: • critical infrastructure • industrial facilities • public events and urban spaces • sensitive government and security locations By combining advanced engineering, AI-supported software and modular system design, we aim to build effective and proportionate solutions for detecting, intercepting and analyzing drone threats in the civil domain. Our long-term vision is to contribute to a resilient and sovereign European security ecosystem — built on trusted technologies, resilient supply chains and strong collaboration between industry, research and public institutions. Skyfall Defence is currently operating in an early development stage and working with partners from research, technology and the security community to advance next-generation counter-UAS capabilities.
