Electric Feel Ventures Research
Investment Thesis
Electric Feel Ventures (EFV) is the venture investing arm of Electric Feel Entertainment, a Miami-based artist management, record label, and music publishing company founded in 2013 by Austin Rosen (manager of Post Malone, among others). EFV was launched in 2021 to formalize a pattern that had already been happening informally: Rosen and the Electric Feel roster of artists, producers, and songwriters were being pulled into early-stage consumer and culture deals through their entertainment network, and EFV exists to make that a structured, repeatable investment practice. The stated thesis is that access to entertainment, culture, and celebrity distribution is itself a sourcing and value-add advantage in early-stage consumer investing: EFV positions itself as able to see and win allocation in "exclusive and sought-after" seed and early-stage deals through its network of strategic investors and tastemakers, and then integrates each portfolio company into the wider Electric Feel ecosystem (artist relationships, brand partnership introductions, cultural credibility) to improve its odds of breaking out.
Sector Focus
The portfolio is concentrated in celebrity- and creator-adjacent consumer packaged goods (beverages, snacks, beauty, wellness, apparel/accessories), with a secondary cluster in consumer fintech/crypto and consumer tech platforms that intersect entertainment and culture (music, gaming, prediction markets, AI creative tools). EFV explicitly frames itself as CPG + consumer tech, not a generalist or deep-tech fund; it does not appear to invest in biotech, hardware-intensive, or enterprise-only categories.
Stage Focus
EFV invests at seed through Series A, per its own listing on Visible Connect ("Early Stage, Seed, Series A") and third-party trackers. A 2022 Forbes profile described the firm as having already completed roughly 50 deals within its first ~18 months, suggesting a high-velocity, check-writing seed practice rather than a small number of concentrated Series A leads.
Check Size
Check size could not be pinned down with confidence. Third-party aggregators disagree sharply: one lists $50K-$500K, another cites average investments of $5M-$10M with roughly one deal per year (a figure that reads more like it describes portfolio companies' total round sizes than EFV's own check). Given the ~50-deals-in-18-months pace reported by Forbes, the $50K-$500K figure is the more plausible reading of EFV's own check size, but this is not confirmed by a primary source and is left unset rather than guessed.
Lead Tendency
Unclear from available sources. EFV appears most often as one of several participants in syndicated seed/Series A rounds (e.g., Chamberlain Coffee's 2023 raise) alongside other strategic and financial investors, rather than as the named lead. Treated as unknown.
Recent Activity
Electric Feel Ventures Fund I LP raised roughly $30M starting in 2021. A Form D filing shows Electric Feel Ventures Fund II LP opened an indefinite fundraising window on October 24, 2025, indicating the firm is actively raising and/or deploying a second vehicle as of late 2025. Recent portfolio activity includes participating in Chamberlain Coffee's $7M raise (June 2023, alongside Blazar Capital, United Talent Agency, and Volition) and, per a July 2025 Forbes feature, playing a connector role for Bogg Bag as it grew into a $100M+ business.
Portfolio Highlights
EFV's own site lists roughly 30 active portfolio companies spanning: beverage and food (Poppi, Halfday, Chamberlain Coffee, Nectar Hard Seltzer, Goodles, Actual Veggies, Last Crumb); beauty and personal care (Westman Atelier, Starface, Futurewise, Belliwelli, Julie Care, Cleancult); apparel and accessories (Bogg Bag, Kane Footwear, Zellerfeld, Sesh); consumer tech and gaming (Backbone, Underdog Fantasy, GamerGains, Volta); crypto and fintech (MoonPay, Gemini, Polymarket, Republic, Audius); and AI/creative tools (MindStudio, Arpeggi Labs/Kits). Superplastic (synthetic-influencer/entertainment IP studio) is also listed as a portfolio company on EFV's site, with a reported entry around October 2021, though a primary source confirming EFV's specific participation in Superplastic's funding round could not be located.
Team
- Austin Rosen - Founder & Managing Partner. Founded Electric Feel Entertainment in 2013 and Electric Feel Ventures in 2021; makes final investment decisions per public filings. Best known outside VC as a music manager (Post Malone and others) and was named a Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Power Player. Public sources describe a small team (fewer than 10 professionals) with deal leads assigned per transaction, but no additional named investment partners were identified with confidence during this research pass.
Decision Process
Described in public filings as effectively solo-GP: Austin Rosen is reported to make final investment decisions, consistent with the firm's small headcount and Rosen's public role as founder/CEO of the parent entertainment company.
Founder Preferences
EFV's public materials emphasize "disruptive brands in the early-stage consumer space" and founders who can benefit from entertainment/celebrity distribution and cultural relevance - i.e., consumer brand founders whose products lend themselves to influencer, artist, or cultural marketing, rather than purely technical or enterprise founders.
Geographic Focus
Primarily United States, with the firm headquartered in Miami, FL (a corporate office is also referenced in New York, NY, and earlier coverage ties the team to Los Angeles as well, consistent with Rosen's entertainment-industry base).
Additional Notes
Electric Feel Ventures also maintains a private credit line tied to music royalties (royalty-backed lending to artists and producers sourced directly through Rosen's music-industry relationships), which is adjacent to but distinct from its equity venture investing activity described above.
