GoHub Ventures Research
Investment Thesis
GoHub Ventures is an early-stage venture firm based in Valencia, Spain, backing founders in digital health and B2B software. Its tagline is "Technology is built by people. We back them." The firm manages about €90 million across two funds. Fund II is a €60 million regulated vehicle launched in 2023, when GoHub became independent of the Global Omnium water group that originally founded it in 2019. It is not a corporate VC today, but it keeps industrial backing and access to infrastructure and industrial pilot customers.
Roughly 80% of the fund is committed to digital health, a concentration chosen about three years ago. The firm re-reviews its thesis every six to twelve months. In its October 2026 thesis post it described the current weight in three areas, all resting on AI and data: the safety and compliance layer around implementing AI in healthcare (mainly private settings); AI-driven operating efficiency inside private clinics (its core focus); and preventive solutions built on the payer side, plus hybrid prevention-and-care models. It has also moved up lab automation on the pharma side, health fintech, and regulated software for mental health and sleep.
Sector Focus
- Digital health: early detection, preventive health, clinical and operational AI, clinic efficiency, mental health and sleep
- Bio and digital pharma: AI tooling for scientific research, new molecular technologies, data connectivity, biomanufacturing
- B2B software: AI applied to demanding industries, plus dual-use technology
- Walked away from: AI interpretation layers on personal health data; paused on pure hormone tracking
Stage Focus and Check Size
GoHub invests at Pre-Seed and Seed (some directories also list Series A follow-ons). Its LinkedIn page states tickets from €300K to €2M. Third-party directories give wider ranges (up to €3M to €4M), which likely include follow-on reserves. It prefers AI-enabled services in clinics over purely horizontal products, on defensibility grounds.
Lead Tendency
Mixed. It led or co-invested in rounds alongside others: it participated in Prevision Medicine's $5.4M seed led by ACE Ventures (September 2026), took part in Linkener's €7.5M round led by Klima (Alantra's energy transition fund), and backed Sherpas Wealth's $3.2M seed led by 1248. It also follows on into portfolio companies, for example Bound.
