Integral GlobalTech Partners Research
Investment Thesis
Integral GlobalTech Partners is the growth-equity arm of Integral Corporation, Japan's leading (Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed) private equity firm. In March 2025, Integral GlobalTech Partners launched Granite-Integral, a joint venture with Granite Asia (formerly GGV Capital Asia), a Singapore-headquartered multi-asset investment platform with roughly $10 billion in assets under management across 127 companies valued above $1 billion and 65+ IPOs. Granite-Integral was seeded with $100 million in committed capital, split equally between the two partners, and is co-headed by CK Choun (Integral GlobalTech Partners) and Joe Yan (Granite Asia).
The thesis is explicitly a "Japan Nexus for GlobalTech Entrepreneurs": Granite-Integral positions itself as the bridge between global tech innovation and Japan's enterprise demand. Three stated pillars anchor the strategy: (1) connect global tech founders with Japan's $100B+ enterprise IT ecosystem, giving foreign startups a credible on-ramp into risk-averse Japanese corporate buyers; (2) enable Japanese innovators to expand across Asia, leveraging Granite Asia's regional network and portfolio (Grab, Xiaomi, and other large Asian tech companies); and (3) embed Integral's "hands-on value creation" operational playbook — the same post-investment operational support Integral applies in its buyout business — into global tech growth investing. Public reporting (Reuters, TechNode Global) frames the vehicle as targeting late-stage/growth companies with strong Japan market-access angles, rather than early-stage or purely financial growth rounds.
Stage Focus
Granite-Integral's public deals to date have all been growth-stage rounds: two Series B/D-stage rounds and two strategic growth investments. There is no public evidence of pre-seed, seed, or Series A activity; the JV's own messaging ("late-stage" per Reuters) and deal pattern point to Series B and later.
Check Size
Observed check sizes in Granite-Integral's own deals range from roughly $10M (Omio) to co-leading a $34M round (Craif), with a $15M lead (Notta) and an undisclosed-size strategic investment (Daloopa) in between. Given the $100M JV commitment split across a handful of deals so far, individual GlobalTech-side checks likely run in the low-to-mid single-digit millions up to ~$15-20M for full co-lead positions, with larger headline round sizes reflecting syndicate totals rather than GlobalTech's own check.
Lead Tendency
Mixed — the firm has both led (Notta Series B) and co-led (Craif Series D) rounds, and made at least one investment without a stated lead role (Omio, Daloopa). Leans toward "leads/co-leads" for deals with a clear Japan market-entry angle.
Recent Activity
Granite-Integral has been active since its March 2025 launch, announcing roughly one new deal per quarter:
- August 2026: Co-led a $34M Series D in Craif (Japan-founded bio-AI urine cancer test company), backing its U.S. market entry.
- July 2026: $10M investment in Omio (Berlin-based multimodal travel booking platform), to fund expansion into Japan and Southeast Asia.
- December 2025: Led a $15M Series B in Notta (AI voice transcription/meeting-notes platform), to build out "voice intelligence" from a Japan base.
- December 2025: Invested in Daloopa (New York-based AI financial data platform for public-company fundamentals).
- March 2025: Formal JV launch with Granite Asia, $100M committed capital.
Fund status: actively deploying, roughly quarterly cadence since inception.
Portfolio Highlights
Four disclosed portfolio companies to date, each illustrating a different leg of the thesis: Craif (Japan-founded bio-AI diagnostics, expanding to the U.S.), Omio (European travel platform, expanding into Japan/SE Asia — the clearest "bring global tech into Japan" deal), Notta (AI voice/transcription SaaS, Japan-headquartered voice AI going global), and Daloopa (U.S. fintech-adjacent AI financial data infrastructure). No disclosed exits or IPOs yet, consistent with the JV's ~18-month age.

Decision Process
Structured as a two-firm partnership (Integral GlobalTech Partners + Granite Asia) with co-heads from each side (Choun and Yan), suggesting a small-partnership decision process rather than a solo-GP or large investment-committee structure, though the underlying parent firms (Integral Corporation, a listed PE firm, and Granite Asia, a large multi-asset platform) likely each have their own internal approval layers for capital commitments of this size.
Founder Preferences
Public deal pattern favors founders/companies with a concrete Japan (or broader Asia) market-entry or expansion angle — either global companies wanting a credible path into Japan's enterprise buyers (Omio), or Japan-founded companies with global ambitions (Craif, Notta) — plus category-agnostic AI-enabled growth companies (Daloopa) where Integral's operational value-add can plausibly help scale go-to-market.
Geographic Focus
Japan-centric bridge strategy: investments span Japan (Craif, Notta), Europe (Omio), and the U.S. (Daloopa), unified by a Japan/Asia expansion thesis rather than a single home geography. Headquartered in Tokyo (Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku); Granite Asia's home base is Singapore.
