Intrepid Growth Partners Research
Investment Thesis
Intrepid Growth Partners is a growth equity firm that backs AI-powered companies across sectors. Its founding statement says the mission is to generate superior returns by capitalizing the transformation of industries through the use of AI. The firm states three convictions: AI innovation is now global and the next generation of founders will come from international talent centres as well as Silicon Valley; the AI companies that define the next decade will transform whole systems and industries, not individual tasks; and AI is rewriting the investment rulebook, so investors must evolve. The firm focuses on companies with proven value creation at the AI application layer.
Stage Focus
Intrepid is a growth-stage investor. Disclosed rounds are Series B (Skin Analytics) and Series C (CoLab, Metaview, Beacon per Tracxn), plus follow-on rounds in Exein. It is not a seed or pre-seed investor, so it is a poor fit for early-stage founders unless they are already at scale.
Check Size
No check size is published. Fund I is $525M, and Intrepid led CoLab's $72M Series C, so growth-round leads in the tens of millions are plausible. This is inferred, not stated.
Lead Tendency
Intrepid led CoLab's $72M Series C and Skin Analytics' GBP 15M Series B and led or co-led Metaview's $60M Series C per its own announcements. It appears to lead or co-lead.
