People Ventures Research
Investment Thesis
People Ventures is an operational, people-first early-stage VC based in Copenhagen. Its own words: "We invest ourselves and money into early-stage founders." The firm says it did not start with a fund or a thesis but with a belief that the best companies are built when founders have people around them who actually care. It backs Nordic founders building tech that makes life or work better, usually software companies or digital health. The stated stance is to support, not take over: it is the founders' company and decisions, and the team shows up on go-to-market and operational clarity, bringing structure and focus so founders can move faster.
Stage Focus
Pre-seed and seed, with follow-ons into Series A for some companies. The portfolio page tags companies as Inception (Opally), Pre-seed (Plinto, Klaay, Much, Leia Health, Avido, Ruumi, Byon8, Sentispec), Seed (Hosted AI, Tiimo, Uniify, Alrik, Onefin, Hakio, Evido Health, comundo, Radiobotics, Passendo, Cortrium, Son of a Tailor) and Series A (Pandektes, Understory, Onomondo).
Check Size
The firm does not publish check sizes. A third-party aggregator (investormatch.pro) lists $500K to $3M; treat this as low confidence.
Lead Tendency
Both. It co-led Plinto's EUR 2.9M pre-seed with Emblem (October 2026) and took part, alongside the Creandum-led round, in Hosted.ai's $19M seed (March 2026). It was also the first institutional pre-seed investor in Hosted.ai about eleven months before that seed.
Recent Activity
- October 2026: Plinto, Copenhagen AI for real-time financial controlling, raised a EUR 2.9M pre-seed led by People Ventures and Emblem with angels.
- March 2026: Hosted.ai raised a $19M seed led by Creandum with People Ventures and Repeat.vc participating.
- The portfolio is split into Fund 0 and Fund 1 on the website; Fund 1 is the active vehicle and holds most of the pre-seed names. Fund sizes are not disclosed on the site.

Geographic Focus
Nordics, with Denmark as the center of gravity. Hosted.ai serves customers in the US, Europe and Asia but is Nordic-linked.
