Plutos Capital Research
Investment Thesis
Plutos Capital is a Singapore-based, blockchain-native early-stage fund that describes itself as writing first checks into deeply technical founders building sovereign, privacy-enabling infrastructure across blockchain, AI and defense. The homepage frames the thesis as three forces colliding: the structural limits of legacy financial systems, rising concern over data privacy and eroding consumer trust, and blockchains as a way to reshape social and economic activity with programmable money. The firm wants to back builders of decentralized technology that upholds individual freedoms, from Layer 1 blockchains and decentralized finance to infrastructure enablers. Its funds page says the Genesis Fund targets blockchain, dual-use technology and AI, in both equity and token investments.
Stage Focus
Early-stage. LinkedIn describes the firm as going from pre-seed to Series A, with first checks. The institutional fund's recent deals are labeled seed (SpaceComputer 2025, 0xBow 2025, and two undisclosed stealth seeds in 2026). The earlier angel book, run since 2017, was pre-seed, pre-ICO, ICO and TGE investing in infrastructure projects, Layer 1 chains, liquid staking protocols and first-generation decentralized exchanges.
Check Size
The Genesis Fund page lists a cheque size of $500,000. Third-party profile data (OpenVC) cites first checks of $100K to $500K. The angel vehicle wrote $5,000 to $50,000 cheques and holds about $10M AUM at cost basis per the site.
Lead Tendency
Unclear. The two known institutional deals were not led by Plutos: 0xBow's $3.5M seed was led by Starbloom Capital with Plutos participating, and SpaceComputer's $10M seed was co-led by Maven11 and Lattice with Plutos participating. Lead tendency is recorded as follows rather than leads.
Recent Activity
The Genesis Fund launched in 2026 (LinkedIn says 2025), with a stated first close of $20M. The website states it is open and actively deploying. Two seed investments announced: 0xBow (November 2025) and SpaceComputer (November 2025). Two more 2026 seed investments sit in stealth: a payment network infrastructure merging TradFi and DeFi, and a confidential compute company for sovereign AI deployment.
