Remagine Ventures Research
Investment Thesis
Remagine Ventures is a Tel Aviv-based early-stage venture capital firm that has provided the first institutional check to Israeli founders since 2018. Co-founders Kevin Baxpehler and Eze Vidra built the firm around a simple lens: "where do people spend their time and money online." That lens led them into generative AI early, starting with a 2019 investment in HourOne, well before the current AI wave. With Fund II (closed November 2025, $25M), the firm is broadening its original focus on media, entertainment, gaming, and commerce into the entire AI-powered digital economy — investing across AI infrastructure, AI agents, and the applications built on top of them, spanning both enterprise/B2B and consumer/B2C. The team frames itself as operator-investors: the partners have shipped products at Google, Wall Street firms, and startups that became unicorns, and they lean on that operating experience to work hands-on with founders.
Sector Focus
Fund II is structured around three pillars:
- AI Infrastructure — the foundational layer (data platforms, orchestration, safety, routing, inference optimization) that makes AI more reliable, governable, and cost-efficient.
- AI Agents — autonomous systems that automate labor-intensive workflows in sales/RevOps, finance, procurement, and customer experience, plus selective media and gaming live-ops.
- Applications — products that translate AI infrastructure and agent capabilities into measurable business or consumer outcomes.
The firm's original strike zone — gaming, media/entertainment, and next-gen consumer tech — remains active alongside the newer infrastructure/agent focus, making Remagine one of the few Israeli funds that consistently backs consumer-facing ventures as well as enterprise ones.
Stage Focus
Remagine positions itself explicitly as a Pre-Seed firm providing "the first institutional check," with some Seed-stage participation (e.g., Munch's $7.2M seed, Keewano's $12M seed). It is not a lead-at-Series-A shop; its value proposition is being early and hands-on.
Check Size
Exact check-size ranges are not disclosed on the website or in press coverage. Given Fund II's $25M size and a track record of 12+ investments in roughly two years (plus follow-on reserves implied by references to portfolio companies raising from a16z, General Catalyst, and Insight Partners), initial checks are consistent with typical pre-seed sizing, but F4-OS has no verified figure to report with confidence.
Lead Tendency
Evidence is mixed. The firm brands itself as writing the first institutional check, which often implies leading or anchoring a round, but recent disclosed deals (Munch's seed alongside Cardumen Capital and A* Capital as lead; Keewano's seed led by Hetz Ventures with Remagine and a16z speedrun participating) show it more often in a participating/co-investing role at the pre-seed/seed line. Treat lead tendency as "both/unclear" pending more deal-level detail.
Recent Activity
Fund II ($25M) closed quietly in November 2025 amid the Israel-Hamas war, backed by strategic investors and executives from public companies across North America, Europe, and Asia. It had already made 12 investments in the two years before the announcement, including Troup AI, Keewano, and Bridge. Several portfolio companies have gone on to raise follow-on capital from Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, and Insight Partners. Most recently, Remagine participated in Keewano's $12M seed round (announced September 15, 2026) for KeewanoDB, a database built for AI-agent reasoning, led by Hetz Ventures with a16z speedrun also participating. The firm describes "3 new deals already underway for 2026."
Portfolio Highlights
The public portfolio page lists 20 named companies spanning AI Infrastructure (Aigency, Pandorian, Echo3D, Troup AI), AI Agents (Bridge, Munch, Clay, HourOne), Gaming (Toya, Sneaky Panda, Playo, and an unnamed stealth gaming studio), Media (Minute Media, Storywise), Smart Analytics (Tapp, Vault AI, Keewano), Consumer Tech (KwaKwa, Zoog, festi), and Lifestyle (TruLux). Notable exit: HourOne, a generative-AI avatar/video platform and one of Remagine's earliest GenAI bets (2019), was acquired by Wix in May 2025.

Decision Process
Small partnership structure (two managing partners plus a venture partner and analyst support) — decisions run through the partnership rather than a solo GP or a large investment committee.
Founder Preferences
The firm explicitly backs Israeli founders "everywhere," combining deep technical talent with a global mindset and speed of execution. It backs both enterprise/B2B and consumer/B2C founders, which the team calls out as differentiating versus most Israeli funds that skew enterprise-only.
Geographic Focus
Israel-founded companies (Tel Aviv HQ, offices/address at Sarona Azrieli Tower), open to Israeli founders based anywhere globally.
