Investment Thesis
Sherpa Healthcare Partners (夏尔巴投资) is a healthcare and life-science venture firm founded in 2018 by a team that spent the prior decade inside one of China's leading venture firms. That team built and led its medical investment group starting in 2011 and ran its dedicated healthcare fund. Sherpa says it backs companies with an "innovation breakout point" or a "high-growth inflection point", picked through forward-looking industry views and systematic research, and then adds strategy, talent and resource support. The firm's stated mission is to accompany entrepreneurs "climbing the highest peaks of life science and healthcare". Its stated vision is to become one of China's foremost healthcare and life-science investors. The name comes from the Sherpa mountain guides of the Himalaya.
