Timeless Partners Research
Investment Thesis
Timeless Partners was founded in August 2024 by Gaurav Ahuja, a former partner at Joshua Kushner's Thrive Capital (2017-2024) and co-founder/Chairman of Imprint Payments. The firm's stated thesis, laid out on its "Beliefs" page, is explicitly contrarian and long-horizon: venture capital is structured around five-to-ten-year fund cycles, but the companies that change the world operate on a much longer arc, and most funds are forced to sell before greatness begins. Timeless says it structured itself to remain on the cap table "for as long as greatness takes," backing founders whose work is built to outlast them.
The firm frames its diligence around three historical patterns it publishes on the same page: (1) the most valuable companies in history (Amazon, Apple, Tesla, Netflix) were also the most doubted, each surviving 77-94% drawdowns before becoming generational outcomes; (2) every technology breakthrough is preceded by a decade or more of hidden work before mass adoption (PC, smartphone, internet, AI); and (3) generational founders are born in every market cycle, including bear markets, citing Tesla, SpaceX, and Palantir as companies founded in the wreckage of 2001.
Stage Focus
Timeless primarily invests at seed stage but is unusually opportunistic about structure: its portfolio includes early seed checks (Haast, Pomo, ai.work), participation in later Series A rounds (Rune, Mandolin), and secondary/growth exposure in pre-IPO private companies (SpaceX, Polymarket). The firm is best described as a seed-focused fund with a mandate to follow a company's "inevitable" arc across stages rather than a strict single-stage shop.
Check Size
Public reporting (Pitchbook, July 2024) describes Ahuja raising a debut fund of $30-40M for Timeless Partners Ventures I. A second vehicle, Timeless Partners Ventures II, has since filed a Form D, and a related entity (Timeless Partners Capital, LP) shows an additional ~$11.9M raised as of November 2025. Typical seed checks appear to be in the low-to-mid six figures up to a few million dollars, with larger allocations reserved for growth/secondary positions in exceptional outcomes (SpaceX, Polymarket).
Lead Tendency
Timeless appears to be primarily a participant rather than a lead investor on record: Rune's $40M Series A was led by Spark Capital, Mandolin's large round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, and reported deals list Timeless alongside firms like Airtree Ventures (Haast) and 645 Ventures (Pomo). No press currently credits Timeless as sole lead on a round in F4-OS's research window.
Recent Activity
The firm has been active through 2025 and into September 2026: a $10M seed in ai.work (July 2025), a $4.0M seed in Haast alongside Airtree Ventures (May 2025), a $4.5M seed in Pomo alongside 645 Ventures (2026), participation in Mandolin's large healthcare-AI round (June 2025), and, most recently, participation in Rune's $40M Series A (mid-September 2026) to convert stranded solar power into AI compute infrastructure. Team growth continued in September 2026 with the addition of Eric Flaningam, previously the author of the "Generative Value" technology investment newsletter.
Portfolio Highlights
Timeless's public portfolio page ("Partners") lists 21 companies spanning AI infrastructure (Applied Compute, Diffractive, Mecka, Manifold), healthcare AI (Mandolin, Sailor Health, Vitalis AI, Yuzu), fintech and payments (Imprint — Ahuja's own company, River), crypto/prediction markets (Polymarket, River), media/entertainment AI (Showrunner), energy-to-compute infrastructure (Rune), and a landmark pre-IPO position in SpaceX. Several of these — Mandolin, Rune, and SpaceX in particular — represent large, high-conviction outcomes consistent with the firm's "back the inevitable" positioning.

Decision Process
With a small, founder-led team (Ahuja plus a handful of partners and operating staff), Timeless functions as a tight partnership rather than a large investment committee. Ahuja's public profile and the firm's own "Beliefs" content suggest conviction-driven, founder-led decision-making with input from the partner team.
Founder Preferences
Timeless's language ("built for founders by founders," "we are builders ourselves") and Ahuja's own background as an operator (Imprint) signal a preference for founders with deep technical or operating conviction who are pursuing long-arc, structurally hard problems rather than quick flips. The firm's essay content leans heavily on founders who persisted through near-death drawdowns (Bezos, Jobs, Musk, Hastings) as its aspirational archetype.
Geographic Focus
Timeless is headquartered in New York, NY (with a Florida-registered fund entity, Timeless Partners Ventures LP, based in Bal Harbour, FL), but its team and portfolio are geographically distributed across the US, with team members and portfolio companies concentrated in New York and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Other Notable Activities
Beyond investing, Timeless publishes two content properties that double as research and sourcing tools: "Artifacts," a physical book cataloguing the five most significant technical breakthroughs of every year since 1965, and "The 100 Year Conversation," a monthly interview series with leaders of institutions that have lasted decades to centuries (Michael Dell/Dell, General Petraeus/US Army & CIA, Max Levchin/Affirm & PayPal, Lloyd Blankfein/Goldman Sachs, and others), which the firm describes as both its research process and its public record.
