Triple Impact Ventures Research
Investment Thesis
Triple Impact Ventures (TIV) is the Vienna-based investment vehicle of Markus Linder, a serial entrepreneur who co-founded Zoovu (raised $200M+ in venture capital) and later founded the sustainability SaaS company inoqo. TIV backs impact-driven founders tackling what the firm calls the "Triple Planetary Crisis": climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. The firm's own site states it is "backing impact-driven founders tackling the climate, biodiversity & pollution crises at the early-stages" and that it "co-invests with like-minded angels & VC funds." TIV is structured as an entrepreneurial family office rather than a traditional fund with outside LPs, which gives it flexibility on check size and pacing but also means its capital and attention scale with Linder's personal bandwidth and liquidity rather than a committed fund.
Sector Focus
TIV's portfolio spans climate and cleantech infrastructure (green hydrogen, industrial decarbonization certification), materials science (biodegradable superabsorbent polymers, copper recycling), climate-native enterprise software (EPD/carbon compliance platforms, municipal climate management), and food/biotech (precision fermentation, sustainability SaaS for grocery retailers). One outlier investment, Parable (enterprise AI impact-measurement software), suggests the firm will follow Linder's personal network and conviction outside a strict climate mandate when the founders and opportunity are strong.
Stage Focus
TIV invests at pre-seed and seed, with the firm's public descriptions noting occasional extension into Series A. The large majority of tracked deals are pre-seed and seed rounds.
Check Size
TIV does not publicly disclose a fixed check-size range. As a single-principal family office, checks appear to be sized deal-by-deal alongside other angels and funds rather than following a fixed reserve model.
Lead Tendency
TIV is primarily a co-investor, participating alongside lead investors such as Satgana (Ark Climate), HICO Investment Group (Ki 13), SISTAFUND (Recupere Metals), and various climate-focused syndicates. It has led at least one round directly: an oversubscribed £1.5M pre-seed for A&B Smart Materials in December 2025.
Recent Activity
TIV has been actively deploying through 2025 and into 2026:
- September 2026: Participated in Ki 13's (formerly Ki Hydrogen) $5M seed round for biomass-electrolysis green hydrogen technology.
- February 2026: Participated in Ark Climate's €2.1M pre-seed round (led by Satgana) for a municipal climate-management platform.
- January 2026: Backed Recupere Metals' €5M seed round for scrap-copper recycling into industrial-grade wire.
- December 2025: Led A&B Smart Materials' £1.5M oversubscribed pre-seed round for biodegradable superabsorbent polymers.
- November 2025: Participated in Parable's $16.5M round for enterprise AI impact-measurement software.
- June 2025: Increased backing of Atmen's seed round to €5M total for renewable-fuels certification software.
- July 2024: Backed kolum.earth's €2.1M pre-seed round for AI-first CBAM trade-compliance software.
- September 2024: Backed repath's €3.6M seed round (Hamburg-based industrial decarbonization).
Portfolio Highlights
Notable portfolio companies include inoqo (AI-driven sustainability SaaS for grocery retailers, founded by Linder himself before TIV), Fermify (precision-fermentation vegan cheese proteins), Emidat (climate-native product-data platform for building materials manufacturers, B Corp certified), Atmen (RegTech for renewable-fuels and green-hydrogen certification), and Ki 13 (biomass-electrolysis green hydrogen). No exits or acquisitions have been identified in the portfolio to date; all tracked companies remain active and early-stage.
Team
- Markus Linder, Founder & Director: Serial entrepreneur who co-founded Zoovu (SaaS, Series C, $200M+ raised) as a student in Vienna in 2006, and later founded inoqo, a grocery-sustainability SaaS platform. Runs TIV as his personal investment vehicle.
- Andrei Podlesnyi previously served as Investment Manager (March 2022–June 2025) but departed to join the Hans(wo)men Group's Hansmann Family Office; TIV currently appears to operate as a solo-principal vehicle.
Decision Process
As a single-principal family office, investment decisions run through Markus Linder directly (solo GP), rather than a partnership or investment committee.
Founder Preferences
TIV favors technical, mission-driven founders building venture-scale technology (deep tech, materials science, industrial and regulatory software) to address climate, biodiversity, and pollution problems, rather than purely consumer-facing sustainability or lifestyle products.
Geographic Focus
Primarily Europe, with concentration in Austria, Germany, the UK, and France; one identified investment (Parable) is US-based, indicating the firm will follow strong founders outside its core European base.
