Visionaries Club Research
Investment Thesis
Visionaries Club (branded "Visionaries") is a Berlin- and London-based early-stage and early-growth venture firm co-founded in 2019 by Robert Lacher and Sebastian Pollok. The firm's manifesto, "Hungry Beats Big," argues that in a period of technological upheaval, obsession beats playbooks, ambition beats size, and conviction beats consensus. Rather than compete on the scale of multistage platform funds, Visionaries positions itself as a concentrated, high-conviction outlier-focused firm.
The firm's core mechanism is its "Visionaries Cadre": a network of operator-LPs drawn from two groups. The first is "Luminary founders" — operators behind companies such as UiPath, Miro, FlixBus, Lovable, n8n, Spotify, Personio, Adyen, HelloFresh, Hugging Face and DeepMind. The second is "Industrial Family Entrepreneurs" — leaders of European industrial family businesses including Swarovski, Mittal, Haniel, Stihl, Henkel, Siemens, Oetker, Fiege, Bitburger and Viessmann, giving portfolio founders direct routes into enterprise procurement and market validation. Visionaries frames itself explicitly as an "AI-native" European VC firm.
Sector Focus
Visionaries is a generalist European B2B and AI investor with a strong current tilt toward enterprise AI, AI orchestration/infrastructure, and applied AI in vertical workflows (legal/IP, healthcare, manufacturing, robotics). Beyond AI, the broader ~58-company portfolio spans fintech and payments (Adfin, Taktile, TrueLayer, Yokoy, Two, Qonversion, Ledgy), HR and workplace tools (Leapsome, WorkFlex, Momo, Personio), legal/compliance (CourtCorrect, Secjur, Accountable), healthcare (Tandem Health, Lindus Health, GetHarley, Hakuna), climate/sustainability (Cycle, Autarc), robotics and hardware (Allonic, Tendrils Compute, Vay), and food/logistics supply chain (Choco, Localyze).
Stage Focus
Visionaries runs (at least) two fund vehicles: a seed fund and an Early Growth Fund, plus a separate deep-tech sister fund, Visionaries Tomorrow (tomorrow.vc), which is a related but distinct entity. Partner Venkat Kondragunta focuses on later-stage B2B investing; Sahar Meghani leads the early growth fund; Marton Sarkadi Nagy and Bobby Jäckle co-lead the seed fund. Recent lead checks span pre-seed (Allonic, $7.2M) through Series B (Solve Intelligence, $40M) and participation up to Series C (n8n, $180M).
Check Size
Not explicitly published. Inferred range roughly $250K at pre-seed to $15–20M+ when leading later rounds from the Early Growth Fund; the firm also takes smaller allocations inside larger syndicated rounds (e.g., n8n's $180M Series C led by Accel).
Lead Tendency
Both. Visionaries has led rounds (Allonic pre-seed, Solve Intelligence Series B) and participated as a syndicate member in larger rounds led by others (n8n Series C led by Accel; Orbio Series A led by Dawn Capital).
Recent Activity
The firm has been actively deploying through 2025 and 2026. In March 2025, Judith Dada (formerly General Partner at La Famiglia, then Partner at General Catalyst after the 2024 La Famiglia/General Catalyst merger) rejoined her former La Famiglia co-founder Robert Lacher at Visionaries as General Partner. In June 2026, Dada stepped down from her Managing Director role to become Co-CEO of portfolio company Langdock (which had just crossed $40M ARR), while remaining a Senior Partner at Visionaries for the firm's next fund generation. Other 2025–2026 activity includes backing n8n's $180M Series C, leading Solve Intelligence's $40M Series B, leading Allonic's $7.2M pre-seed, and continued backing of Orbio (deep tech). Per third-party trackers, the firm made roughly 15 new investments in the trailing 12 months as of mid-2026.
Portfolio Highlights
Notable current-generation companies: Langdock, Lovable, Pigment, Miro, Personio, n8n, Solve Intelligence, Tacto, Black Forest Labs, Tandem Health, Tendrils Compute, Xentral, Allonic, 11x, TrueLayer, Choco, incident.io, Leapsome, Superlist and Rows. Reported AUM is roughly $600M as of March 2025 across the firm's fund families.

Partnership model with fund-specific co-leads (seed fund co-led by two Partners; early growth fund led by a dedicated Partner), rather than a solo-GP or full investment-committee structure.
Founder Preferences
Obsessive, high-conviction, technical founders — explicitly framed around "the person who wakes up obsessed" rather than credentials or pedigree. Several team members (e.g., Bobby Jäckle) were hired pre-track-record on the same obsession criterion. Portfolio spans first-time and repeat founders, with an emphasis on European technical talent.
Geographic Focus
Europe-centric, with primary offices in Berlin and London; portfolio companies concentrated in Germany, broader DACH, UK, and wider Europe.
