WaVe-X Research
Investment Thesis
WaVe-X is the early-stage investment arm of the WALTER GROUP, an Austrian industrial and logistics group. Founded in 2022 and based in Wiener Neudorf near Vienna, it describes itself as an early-stage investor for entrepreneurs with big dreams and even bigger ideas. Third-party profiles describe it as both a corporate venture capital fund and a venture builder. Its stated playground is four verticals: logistics and mobility, manufacturing tech, property tech and construction tech. The firm says it is excited by dynamic, agile personalities with an entrepreneurial spirit, unique solutions and technologies with a clear USP, and a great solution paired with an addressable market.
Stage Focus
The firm positions itself as an early-stage investor, and its first cheques are mostly seed. Tracxn counts about three seed entries, three Series A entries and two Series B entries among its first rounds. The portfolio also shows follow-on participation in later rounds, for example HappyRobot (Series B in 2025, Series C in 2026) and Dexory (Series C in 2025). It also made a post-IPO investment in truckoo, so the firm is not strictly limited to seed.
Check Size
The website states that tickets start at EUR 200,000. No upper bound is published. Tracxn-reported round sizes in which WaVe-X took part range from small seed rounds to large growth rounds, where WaVe-X is one of several investors, so the upper bound is not inferable.
Lead Tendency
There is no clear evidence that WaVe-X leads rounds. In the recent rounds listed by Tracxn it appears alongside other funds (Prysm Capital in HappyRobot, Eurazeo in Dexory, GET in Fuchs & Eule). The tendency is recorded as unknown.
Recent Activity
The firm is actively deploying. Tracxn lists three investments in 2026 so far and three in 2025. Recent entries: All3 (AI-driven design and robotic construction, seed, September 2026), HappyRobot (AI workers for logistics and operations, Series C, August 2026), Fuchs & Eule (renovation funding and energy consulting, Series B, July 2026) and Dexory (warehouse inventory robots, Series C, October 2025). PitchBook lists a newer investment in Conlio on 3 November 2026. CB Insights counts 13 investments in total.
Portfolio Highlights
The website shows twelve portfolio logos: Conlio, Riiico, truckoo, All3, Dexory, Heylog, Fuchs & Eule, Dodona, Repark, HappyRobot, Wakeo and Schuettflix. Tracxn names HappyRobot as a unicorn as of 2026. Dexory is a UK warehouse robotics company with a Series C in March 2026. Schuettflix is a German building-materials e-distributor. truckoo is listed on Euronext.
