Axis Spatial is an early-stage research, engineering, and product company building the spatial intelligence AI agents need to understand and act in the physical world. AI agents can now operate software, code, browsers, and maps. They do not yet understand the physical world those tools describe. The same place shows up as a point, a polygon, an image, a road network, a raster, and a rendered map -- each true in a different way. Get the translation wrong and the output still looks fine. Spatial work punishes that gap harder than most. We build the layer that closes it. Our work follows one loop: Understand what the data means. Situate it into a working picture of the place. Operate in real geospatial software. Prove the result before anyone trusts it - and say "not yet", "review", or "refuse" when that is the honest outcome. What we publish: Research -- the missing foundations, in the open. Applied work -- one real, consequential spatial problem, built properly. Migration Engine -- our first product expression (in development). Arena -- honest evaluation of complete spatial agent systems (arena.axisspatial.com). Insights -- a practitioner's language for spatial agents. We are early, serious, and precise. We claim only what we can show. Read the work: axisspatial.com
