Endiya Partners Research
Investment Thesis
Endiya Partners is a Hyderabad-based, early-stage venture capital fund backing what it calls "the third wave of Indian entrepreneurship" - scalable, IP-led product companies, following the earlier waves of services businesses and consumer internet/e-commerce. Endiya describes itself as a thematic investor, aiming to identify and capitalize on long-term, market-creating trends ahead of the broader market rather than spraying capital broadly. The firm explicitly positions itself as an "operator VC" or "co-founder VC": its partners are former entrepreneurs and operators who work alongside founders on strategy, hiring, fundraising, market access, and follow-on funding introductions, in addition to writing checks.
Sector Focus
Endiya organizes its thesis around four core verticals:
- Enterprise: AI, data, and cybersecurity, betting on accelerating digital transformation driven by geopolitics, climate change, and regulation
- Industrial Tech & Intelligent Mobility: industrial robotics, fabless semiconductors, edge AI, electric mobility, and autonomous/VTOL systems
- Healthcare & Life Sciences: AI-enabled diagnostics, chronic disease management, medical devices, and cell/biologic therapies
- Fintech: category-creating digital lending, alternative investment platforms, and equity/cap-table management for private markets
The portfolio also includes an agritech/aquaculture bet (AquaExchange), showing some willingness to back category-defining companies outside the four core verticals when the fundamentals fit.
Stage Focus
Endiya invests primarily at seed and pre-Series A, describing itself as walking in "early when the risk is highest" and frequently writing the first institutional cheque. The firm reserves additional capital for follow-on rounds in its strongest performers.
Check Size
Endiya's stated first cheque size goes up to $2M, with flexibility on both ends of that range depending on the opportunity. Follow-on reserves are set aside specifically to double down on portfolio companies as they scale.
Lead Tendency
Endiya positions itself as a first institutional investor and lead check-writer, taking on outsized early risk in exchange for meaningful ownership and board involvement.
Recent Activity
Endiya closed its third fund, targeting a corpus of $100-125M (Rs 800-1,000 crore), with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) among its backers; the fund has since been reported closed at roughly $100M. Fund III has been actively deploying, with recent first checks into deep-tech and physical-AI companies including Perceptyne, Maieutic Semiconductor, BluJ Aerospace, and, most recently, WATER Robotics, which raised a $2.5M seed round led by Endiya in August 2026. In May 2026, portfolio company Kissht (via parent OnEMI Technology Solutions) completed an IPO on the BSE, giving Endiya its first public-market exit since the firm's founding in 2016.
Portfolio Highlights
Endiya's roughly 35-company active portfolio spans well-known Indian product companies including Darwinbox (HCM/HRMS), Zluri (SaaS management/identity governance), Qapita (cap-table and equity management), Scrut Automation (GRC/compliance automation), SigTuple (AI-powered digital pathology), Eyestem (stem-cell therapeutics), Sugar.Fit (diabetes management), Kissht (digital lending, now listed), and AquaExchange (full-stack aquaculture platform automating a large share of India's shrimp-farming acreage). Past exits reported by the firm and third-party trackers include Cygni (battery tech), Shieldsquare (cybersecurity, acquired by Radware), Steradian Semiconductors (4D imaging radar chips, acquired by Renesas), and Karkinos Healthcare (oncology platform).

Decision Process
Endiya runs a structured but founder-friendly process: an initial screen of materials, an introductory call with the deal lead, partnership-level discussion, a meeting with Endiya's leadership team, diligence calls, and a final Investment Committee decision. The firm says it typically decides within about a month and commits to communicating promptly if it passes at any stage.
Founder Preferences
Endiya looks for technical founders with deep domain expertise building businesses on strong fundamentals and clear competitive advantage, targeting large and growing markets with well-defined problems and disruptive solutions. The firm explicitly favors capital-efficient, profitable, and sustainable growth over pure top-line expansion, and prefers to be introduced via quality referrals - existing portfolio founders, other entrepreneurs, investors, or Endiya alumni.
Geographic Focus
Endiya invests in India-headquartered, IP-led product companies built for global markets, with particular strength in the Hyderabad startup ecosystem (the firm publishes an annual Hyderabad Startup Readiness Index) while also being active across the broader Indian venture landscape.
