Inflexor Ventures Research
Investment Thesis
Inflexor Ventures is an India-focused technology venture capital firm that anchors its investment philosophy in what it calls "Science, Engineering & Technology (S.E.T)" — backing IP-led innovation that can create durable, defensible value. The firm was founded in 2016 and has since raised three funds, positioning itself as a specialist "deep tech" investor in a market where most Indian VC capital chases consumer internet and fintech. Inflexor evaluates opportunities across three core dimensions: the founding team's drive, passion, and depth of problem-solving insight; the total addressable market and its scalability; and the defensibility and uniqueness of the underlying technology. The firm describes its capital as "patient financing" suited to hardware-adjacent, R&D-heavy, and IP-led businesses that take longer to reach commercial scale than typical SaaS or consumer plays.
Stage Focus
Inflexor invests from seed through growth stage, with its center of gravity at pre-Series A and Series A. Fund I and Fund II (final AUM ~$150M+/Rs 1,300 crore) built a portfolio of roughly 30 companies, entering many at seed and following on through Series A and beyond. Fund III — the "Inflexor Technology Discovery Fund," which had its first close of Rs 400 crore against a Rs 1,250 crore target in July 2026 — is explicitly targeted at pre-Series A and Series A companies, with a plan to build a portfolio of 22-25 companies.
Check Size
Historically, Inflexor has written $1-2M checks at seed and $3-4M at Series A, with total lifetime exposure to a single company reaching $8-10M across follow-on rounds. Fund III's stated initial cheque size is Rs 15-45 crore (roughly $1.8M-$5.4M), consistent with its pre-Series A/Series A focus.
Lead Tendency
Inflexor frequently leads or co-leads rounds — it led Butterfly Learnings' Rs 65 crore Pre-Series B (August 2026), led Ayati Devices' Rs 15 crore Pre-Series A (August 2026), and co-led Revspot's $4.8M Series A alongside Info Edge Ventures (July 2026).
Recent Activity
Inflexor has been active through 2026: it led the Ayati Devices pre-Series A round (medtech diagnostics) in August, led Butterfly Learnings' Pre-Series B (pediatric behavioral health) in August, and co-led Revspot's Series A (AI-powered B2B sales intelligence) in July. In parallel, the firm closed the first tranche of its third fund, securing Rs 400 crore in commitments from anchor LPs including the Self-Reliant India (SRI) Fund, HDFC Asset Management Company, and HDFC AMC Select AIF Fund of Funds, against a Rs 1,250 crore target. This signals a fund actively deploying and raising simultaneously.
Portfolio Highlights
Inflexor's roughly 30-company portfolio spans digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, deep tech hardware, fintech, transportation/logistics, sustainability, and consumer tech. Notable names include CloudSEK (AI-driven digital risk management), Verloop (conversational AI customer support), PlayShifu (AR-based educational toys), Atomberg Technologies (energy-efficient consumer appliances), Awiros (computer-vision operating system for enterprise), Entropik (emotion AI/behavior analytics, which itself raised a $25M round), Chakr Innovation (air pollution capture technology), Kale Logistics (logistics/trade software), Bellatrix Aerospace (satellite propulsion systems), and Steradian Semiconductors (radar chipsets). The firm reports 14 exits to date across its history.

Decision Process
With two Managing Director co-founders plus a bench of Partners and Principals evaluating deals, Inflexor operates as a partnership-style decision process rather than a solo-GP or formal investment-committee structure, though institutional LPs (HDFC AMC, SRI Fund) likely require standard governance for larger checks.
Founder Preferences
Inflexor gravitates toward technical founders — often PhDs, IIT/IISc alumni, or deep domain operators — building IP-defensible products in hardware, deep tech, biotech, or infrastructure software, rather than pure-play consumer or thin-margin marketplace businesses. Several portfolio companies were incubated at institutions like IIT Bombay's SINE.
Geographic Focus
Inflexor invests almost exclusively in India, with offices in Mumbai (headquarters), Bangalore, and Hyderabad, reflecting proximity to India's deep-tech and R&D talent hubs. The firm also maintains GIFT City IFSC operations for fund structuring.
