Siddhi Capital Research
Investment Thesis
Siddhi Capital is an operationally-focused food and beverage growth equity firm. It combines investment capital with in-house operating expertise (the firm grew out of Melissa Facchina's outsourced operations consultancy, Siddhi Services, which supported more than 500 food and beverage company builds and 93 successful exits) to accelerate growth for founders in consumer packaged goods (CPG), food, and beverage. The firm invests in "visionary entrepreneurs and companies that are reshaping the landscape of CPG and food," with a secondary, smaller allocation to food tech companies working in fermentation and cellular agriculture. Siddhi differentiates itself from typical growth-equity investors by embedding a large internal operations team (channel strategy, ERP integrations, order management, COGS analysis, financial modeling, co-manufacturer sourcing, demand planning, R&D/product launch, regulatory compliance, and more) directly into portfolio companies rather than simply providing capital and board oversight.
Stage Focus
Siddhi's stage focus has shifted between its two funds. Fund I (closed 2020, ~$70M) invested broadly across roughly 40 early-stage CPG and food tech companies. Fund II ($135M, closed July 2024) is intentionally concentrated: fewer, larger checks into growth-stage companies already generating $25M-$100M in annual revenue, alongside a smaller sleeve for early-stage food tech (fermentation, cellular agriculture). The firm's public contact form solicits inbound across the full range from bootstrapped/F&F/angel through Seed, Series A, B, C, and Post-Series C, plus separate intake for its operating-services (Siddhi Services) and business-diligence offerings.
Check Size
Fund II's stated sweet spot is $5M-$10M per company, targeting businesses with $25M-$100M in revenue. Fund I wrote smaller, more numerous early-stage checks. Recent activity (BlueNalu convertible debt, Nopalera and Plantopia Series A co-investments) suggests continued flexibility on structure (equity, convertible debt) rather than a single template.
Lead Tendency
Mixed. Siddhi has led rounds (e.g., BlueNalu's late-2025 convertible debt raise) and has also participated as a co-investor (Nopalera's Series A alongside Schreiber Foods-backed rounds). Fund I-era deals and the Fresh Start Israeli foodtech incubator partnership suggest a willingness to be either the lead or a syndicate partner depending on the deal.
Recent Activity
Fund II has been actively deploying since its July 2024 close. Notable recent activity:
- July 2026: Series A investment in Plantopia (Israel), alongside Schreiber Foods.
- March 2026: Co-invested in Nopalera's Series A.
- December 2025: Led a convertible debt investment in BlueNalu (cell-cultured seafood).
- Late 2025: Committed roughly $40M as an investment partner in Fresh Start, an Israeli food-tech incubator spanning red, green, white, yellow, grey, blue, and golden biotech applications, targeting 2026 deployment.
- During the two-year Fund II raise (2022-2024), the firm continued deploying capital, adding roughly 10 companies including lab-grown protein ingredient company Ingrediome and recombinant protein producer Future Fields.
Portfolio Highlights
Siddhi's public portfolio spans more than 80 companies across two categories on its website: "Consumer" CPG brands and "Food Tech" companies.
Notable Consumer brands: Magic Spoon (keto cereal), MUD\WTR (coffee alternative), Hint (fruit-infused water), Immi (low-carb ramen), Aura Bora (sparkling water), Mid-Day Squares (functional chocolate), Cirkul (flavored water systems), Sakara (organic meal delivery), Super Coffee, Thistle (tech-enabled food delivery), Copper Cow Coffee, Little Spoon (organic baby food), Momofuku Goods, and Nopalera (Mexican beauty/lifestyle).
Notable Food Tech investments: BlueNalu and Magic Valley (cell-cultured meat/seafood), Ark Biotech and Boston Bioprocess (bioreactors and precision-fermentation scale-up), Future Fields and PoLoPo (recombinant/molecular-farmed proteins), Chef Robotics (food-manufacturing robotics), ZBiotics (genetically engineered probiotics), Plantible and Brevel (algae-derived protein), and Meatly (cultivated meat for pets). The firm is also an investment partner in Fresh Start, an Israeli food-tech incubator.
Team
- Steven Finn — Co-Founder & Co-Managing Partner. Previously led hundreds of investments through his family office.
- Melissa Facchina — Co-Founder & Co-Managing Partner. Founder of Siddhi Services (outsourced F&B operations consultancy) prior to Siddhi Capital; 25+ years of food and beverage operating experience.
- Brian Finn — Chairman. Former CEO of Credit Suisse USA; Steven Finn's father, and an early backer of Fund I.
- Amy Salerno — Co-Managing Partner.
- Sam Potter — Partner.
- Arnulfo Ventura — SVP of Strategy.
- Cody Berenson — EVP of Operations & Services.
- Rob Streight — SVP of Commercialization.
- Anne-Marie Packwood — VP of Finance and Operations.
- James Monsees — Advisor (co-founder of Juul Labs).
- Additional operating team spans VPs and directors of operations, commercialization, manufacturing, and sales strategy — reflecting the firm's operationally-heavy model (24+ person team as of the 2024 Fund II raise).
Decision Process
Structured as a partnership under two co-managing partners (Finn and Facchina), with a chairman (Brian Finn) and a dedicated partner (Sam Potter) supporting deal decisions. The firm's scale (~24+ team members, most in operating roles) suggests investment decisions are made by a small partner group while a much larger operating bench executes post-investment.
Founder Preferences
Siddhi's own narrative (from Facchina's founding story) emphasizes founders who want a true operating partner rather than a purely financial one — companies that need help scaling manufacturing, supply chain, and commercialization rather than just capital. The firm favors CPG/food and beverage founders building "visionary" brands with mass-market viability, and in food tech, favors deep-science teams building fermentation, cellular agriculture, and alternative-protein platforms.
Geographic Focus
Headquartered in New Jersey. Primary investment focus is the United States food and beverage market, with an expanding presence in Israel via the Plantopia investment and the Fresh Start food-tech incubator partnership.
Assets Under Management / Fund Status
Per its most recent Form ADV (as of December 31, 2025), Siddhi Capital reports regulatory AUM of approximately $303.7M. The firm has raised two funds: Fund I (~$70M, closed 2020) and Fund II ($135M, closed July 2024, with ~98% LP re-up from Fund I). Fund II is actively deploying as of 2026.
