Investible Research
Investment Thesis
Investible is an Asia-Pacific early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2014, backing what it calls "the visionaries advancing humanity through technology." The firm's defining structural feature is its syndicated co-investment model: its institutional VC funds invest alongside Club Investible, a global community of 250+ active angel and sophisticated investors, on every deal. This lets Investible write a meaningful lead or co-lead check from fund capital while the syndicate multiplies total capital deployed and brings a wide bench of operator and domain expertise into each portfolio company. The firm was founded by operators with startup experience, and it frames its role as founder-centric: identifying exceptional founders early and then activating its global network to connect them with later-stage investors, strategic partners, customers, and talent.
Sector Focus
Investible runs two fund strategies with different sector remits:
- Investible Early Stage Fund (Funds 1-3): multi-sector generalist, spanning five continents and 20+ sectors excluding biotech, with a stated tendency toward B2B software.
- Investible Climate Tech Fund: dedicated climate technology vehicle (AUD $32.7M, vintage 2022), part of the firm's commitment to the Net Zero Asset Manager initiative.
Portfolio breadth confirms the generalist mandate: enterprise/ICT software, fintech and financial services, health tech, food and agriculture tech, climate tech and clean energy, advanced manufacturing, legal tech, HR tech, marketing tech, logistics, space, cybersecurity, and consumer/retail.
Stage Focus
Pre-Seed through Series A is the core focus, with the firm's own language being "the earlier the better." It reserves capacity for continued follow-on investment into later stages for its strongest performers (e.g., continued participation in Factory's and Syenta's Series A rounds after leading their earlier rounds). Early Stage Fund 3 is targeting 40-50 portfolio companies from Pre-Seed to Series A across sector and vertical, and is currently open for expressions of interest.
Check Size
Exact check-size bands are not published. Based on fund sizes (~AUD $22.7M Fund I, $51.6M Fund II, $32.7M Climate Tech Fund) deployed across 40-50+ companies per fund with reserved follow-on capital, typical initial checks appear to sit in the low hundreds-of-thousands to low millions (AUD) range, topped up by the Club Investible syndicate. Total round participation (fund + syndicate) can be materially larger, as seen in later co-investments alongside larger institutional leads.
Lead Tendency
Mixed/both. Investible has led early rounds directly — e.g., leading Syenta's ~AUD $8.8M Pre-Series A through Early-Stage Fund 2, the Climate Tech Fund, and the Club Investible syndicate — but shows up as a continuing participant (not lead) in later, larger rounds such as Factory's Series A (led by Shearwater Capital) and Syenta's April 2026 US$26M Series A (led by Playground Global and Australia's National Reconstruction Fund). The pattern is: lead or co-lead at Pre-Seed/Seed, follow-on participant at Series A and beyond.
Recent Activity
Fund status: actively deploying, primarily via Early Stage Fund 2/3 and the Climate Tech Fund, with active follow-on reserves supporting existing portfolio companies into later rounds.
- April 2026: Continued as an existing investor in Syenta's US$26M Series A (semiconductor packaging/AI chip interconnect), led by Playground Global and Australia's NRF, alongside Pat Gelsinger joining the board.
- January 2026: Continued as an existing investor in Factory's AUD $4.69M Series A (manufacturing process management SaaS), led by Shearwater Capital.
- 2025: Seed investment in Apate.ai (AUD $2.5M round led by OIF Ventures), an AI-driven anti-scam cyber-intelligence platform spun out of Macquarie University.
- 7 total investments recorded across 2025 per third-party deal trackers, with Apate.ai as the most recent first-time (new logo) investment of that year.

Decision Process
Partnership/investment-committee model. Investible applies a proprietary "16-point Investibility Index" diligence framework and draws on data from portfolio company Fingerprint for Success to assess founders systematically, with an Investment Committee (including named IC members like Tim Bennett) reviewing Early Stage Fund deals.
Founder Preferences
Investible seeks "visionaries" who are "driven to relentlessly create, disrupt, and challenge the status-quo" — founders who value speed, decisiveness, and want active operational support beyond capital, not just a check-writer. The firm's syndicate model is explicitly built to keep founders connected to later-stage capital, customers, and talent as they scale.
Geographic Focus
Headquartered in Sydney and Singapore (APAC), with the largest concentration of deals in Australia (~52 investments per third-party trackers), followed by Singapore (~9), and selective investments across New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.
